KAN-I HELP Launches Redesigned Website
The new and improved KAN-I HELP website makes it even easier for individuals to utilize the internet to gain access to services provided by government and non-profit agencies. Funding was provided by a one-time grant from Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging through the National Family Caregiver Support Program under the Federal Older Americans Act.
Funding also paid for the publication of a special caregiver edition of the KAN-I HELP Directory. Copies are available for $10 each.
The "I Need Help" section contains information about more than 1,000 services. Each listing minimally contains a link to an agency’s web site or provides a telephone number. In many instances, additional information about the agency, as well as a description of the services offered, is also available. Listings are constantly being updated and new information added.
Agencies and organizations are encouraged to submit news releases and information about events they would like to have publicized.
