Service/program name: Residential Treatment Center
Description: Two distinct programs for young men ages 12 through 14 and ages 14 through 16 who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviors or have committed sexual offenses.

These programs address the specific developmental issues faced by younger adolescents in the areas of sexuality, chemical health, family relationships, and other behavioral conditions. Treatment takes place within the safe and respectful environment in which these young men learn to accept responsibility for their behavior, gain empathy for others, and practice making healthier choices



Service/program name: Early Adolescent Programs
Description: Two distinct programs for young men ages 12 through 14 and ages 14 through 16 who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviors or have committed sexual offenses.

These programs address the specific developmental issues faced by younger adolescents in the areas of sexuality, chemical health, family relationships, and other behavioral conditions. Service/program name: Adolescent Treatment Program (Non-offender)
Description: This residential treatment program, with a 15-bed capacity, is designed for adolescent males ages 13 to 17 who exhibit emotional, behavioral, and/or psychiatric problems and are unable to safely and effectively function in the community. The average length of stay is 9-12 months.

The treatment program is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Theory and Restorative Justice concepts. Emphasis is placed on safety, repair of injuries to relationships, responsibility, accountability, and pro-social skill development and use.

Comprehensive diagnostic evalutations provided for youth in need of short-term stabilization, testing, and recommendations for an appropriate level of care.

Service/program name: Chemical Dependency Program
Description: Serving the chemical health needs of youth at Onarga Academy.

This program provides chemical health treatment specifically geared toward adolescents. Each youth is assessed upon placement. If chemical abuse or dependency is indicated, chemical health goals and objectives are developed and attained within the context of the youth's overall treatment plan.

The program's specially trained staff of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, and family therapists assess and treat adolescent alcohol and/or drug-dependent patients. This trained staff is extremely knowledgeable about the biological and psychological aspects of chemical dependence.

Description: Nexus is currently accepting referrals for outpatient treatment for children and adolescents with sexual behavior problems.

Referrals are accepted from social service, corrections, mental health, and county probation.
