Services provided include: PLAYGROUP & PARENT TIME - Children & parents spend half of class reading, singing and participating in creative learning experiences. During the second half, children play under the supervision or childcare workers. Parents spend time discussing parenting issues or relaxing with a magazine and making new friends. PARENTING CLASSES - Offered periodically throughout the school year. Classes address the developmental aspects of children newborn through 5. Class topics include: Toddler Time and Baby Time. PERIODIC DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENING - Families interested in the developmental progress of their child may request a screening throughout the year. Children ages 3-5 are screened in the spring as part of the district wide screening. PERSONAL VISITS - Individualized program for the family. During these visits parent educators discuss child development and child rearing issues that come up at various ages. Educators will share an appropriate activity and a book each time as well as have fun together. FIELD TRIPS - Offered periodically into the community. Past field trips have been visits to local libraries, Barnes & Noble, Exploration Station - A Children's Museum, the YMCA and local park districts.
